XiMnet Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. was founded in 1999. It was started by a group of Silicon-Valley veterans with its headquarter in San Jose, California.

“Is there some kind of meaning to the name “ XiMnet ” ? Why is it spelled that way and please, how do you say it?”

OK, here’s the story…It was the winter of '99. Picture this brand new Audi A6 cruising down the windy highway under the grey skies, with the San Francisco airport rapidly disappearing from the rear mirror. We asked the driver, a serial VC (born in Indonesia, grew up in Singapore, educated in Canada and cut his VC teeth in North California), the same question.

Some three years later, amidst the spectacular implosion of the Dot Com phenomenon, XiMnet Malaysia as we know it today was born. While many other similar setups flamed-out in the night sky like some post-parade fireworks, XiMnet thrived on, making a name for itself as a leading interactive agency within the region.
